'I've been writing songs since I was a teenager, and playing the piano for even longer than that, so all the songs I write begin with me sitting down at a piano and singing. It's as simple as that.'

Casson has been writing and performing songs all her life.

Beginning by accompanying herself at the piano, during her career she has been accompanied by arranger and conductor John Jansson,

led jazz based trio Premier Cru and quartet Sharp Practise from the piano,

and sung and played alongside multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire

The Brannick Academy.

Her songs have been played on BBC Radio, select credits include Pen to Paper, Pick of the Week, Stop the Week, Radio 2's NightRide, Kit & The Widow's Cocktails and Word of Mouth; on film and websites, in stage plays

and on CBBC.

Now she has returned to her roots, to explore life as a solo performer once again, beginning by playing host to

English Cabaret Hour at C Venues for a couple of seasons

This year Casson has been working on a series of short films featuring her music and lyrics.

Catch up with them at  Words & Pictures or on her YouTube channel.
