'I've been writing songs since I was a teenager, and playing the piano for even longer than that, so all the songs I write begin with me sitting down at a piano and singing. It's as simple as that.'

Stage

Sue Casson is a singer songwriter. Her songs have been heard on BBC radio and TV, on stage in shows, and in cabaret from London to New York.

Lyric led with a strong sense of melody, her songs range from contemporary comment to torchsong ballad with theatre at the heart.

Selected BBC radio credits include Stop the Week, Pick of the Week, Word of Mouth, Kit & The Widow's Cocktails, and with her trio Premier Cru, several sessions for Radio 2's NightRide.

She has also recorded CDs, including Tutankhamun All Wrapped Up with

The Brannick Academy which was distributed to over 60,000 visitors to the

O2 Tutankhamun exhibition.

Making her radio debut at the piano on BBC Radio 4's Pen to Paper whilst still a student,

Casson's songwriting has grown to include musical scores, commissions for TV and stage shows.

In performance at the piano she reimaginines some of these for the intimacy of cabaret, or draws on her ever expanding repertoire of songs. Here is a flavour
